Public IP

Overview

Public IP and its public network export bandwidth are IP connectivity services provided by the platform. After purchasing a public IP for Bare Metal, you can communicate with the public network through the public IP.

Multiple public IPs under a Bare Metal instance share bandwidth, and their lifecycle is consistent with that of the instance. When the instance is released, the public IP will also be released.

Purchase public IP

Scenarios where public IP can be purchased:

When purchasing bare metal for the first time, purchase a public IP at the same time.
In the bare metal list, click Purchase public IP in the Operation column.

Method 1:

1. On the Bare Metal Purchase page, check the box to purchase a public IP.

2. Configure the number of public IPs and bandwidth value.

Note: When you purchase multiple public IPs under the same instance, the bandwidth is shared by multiple IPs.

Method 2:

1. Log in to the management console.

2. In the left navigation bar, select Bare Metal.

3. On the Bare Metal list page, click Buy Public IP under the Bare Metal Instance Operation column.

4. Configure the number of public IPs.

5. Complete the payment to complete the purchase.

Note: Newly purchased public IPs need to be manually configured in the instance before they can be used.

Delete public IP

1. In the Bare Metal Instances list, click the instance ID or the Manage button corresponding to the instance to enter the instance details.

2. On the Instance Details page, click the Public IP tab.

3. On the Public IP tab, click Delete under the Public IP Operation column.

4. Click OK to delete in the secondary confirmation pop-up window.

Note: The public IP can only be deleted in the instance details. Once deleted, the IP cannot be retrieved. Please operate with caution.
