Snapshot is an agentless data backup method that supports creating a complete copy of a cloud disk at a certain time. When cloud disk data is lost or abnormal, snapshots can be used to restore cloud disk data completely to a certain point in time.
Before you perform important operations such as rolling back a cloud disk, modifying key system files, and reinstalling the system, it is recommended to create a snapshot in advance for data backup to improve operation fault tolerance and ensure data security.
The cloud disk to which the snapshot belongs has expired or been released, and rollback is not supported.
Manually create a snapshot:
1. In the cloud disk list, click Snapshot in the Operation column.
2. In the pop-up window, select Manual Snapshot, set the retention period, and click Pay.
Automatically create snapshots:
1. In the cloud disk list, click Snapshot in the Operation column.
2. In the pop-up window, select Automatic Snapshot, set the snapshot policy and retention period, and click OK.
3. After the settings are successful, the system will automatically create a snapshot.
Note: When automatic snapshots are executed, snapshot fees will be incurred. Please ensure that your balance is sufficient to avoid snapshot execution failure.
In the snapshot list, click Rollback in the Action column.
Note: When the system disk is rolled back, if the instance is powered on, the instance will be shut down and restarted. After the rollback is complete, the data disk needs to be mounted manually.
After the data disk is rolled back, it needs to be mounted manually.
